From NWSBoston A RECORD SNOWFALL OF 23.3 INCHES WAS SET AT BOSTON MA TODAY. Towns in Hampshire County saw less snow, but the NWS said Plainfield and Middlefield still received a hefty amount of 22.5 and 22 inches, respectively. Monday: Meteorologist Shiri Spear shows the final snowfall totals from the weekend’s blizzard. Winchendon and Royalston, two towns in Worcester County, had 25 inches of snow on Tuesday morning. Here are the latest snowfall totals in Massachusetts from the National Weather Service, Rob Macedo, the SKYWARN Coordinator for the National Weather Service in Taunton, and WBZ-TV Weather Watchers. 11-14 inches: Staffordville, Somers, Avon, East Farmington Heights, Bradley International Airport, Simsburyįarther north, in Massachusetts, the worst of the storm affected Worcester and Hampshire counties, which are about 60 miles from each other. 6-10 inches: East Killingly, Woodstock, Columbia, Coventry, Tolland, East Hartford, Southington, Granby average season for profit, 8 hardly an average one, and 15 that it had not been a profitable season.0-5 inches: Ashford, Pomfret, Rockville, Andover, Vernon, Farmington, South Windsor, Weatogue, West Hartford, Burlington, Manchester.Snowfall totals for other Connecticut towns were listed as: North Granby, about halfway between New York City and Boston, had 18 inches of snow by Tuesday morning as light snow continued to fall, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). The worst snowfall in Connecticut occurred in Hartford County. It's expected to let up later in the day, but not before it delivers a few more inches to parts of the New England area. Snow from Winter Storm Ezekiel, as it's been dubbed by the Weather Channel, started falling on Sunday and was continuing for parts of Massachusetts and Connecticut on Tuesday morning. Heavy snow piled up in parts of New England Tuesday amid the powerful nor’easter that had promised to deliver significant impacts to New England. Although its population has declined in recent decades, Pittsfield remains the third-largest municipality in Western Massachusetts, behind only Springfield. Pittsfield’s population was 43,927 at the 2020 census. The Northeast's first snowstorm of the season did not disappoint, bringing more than a foot to parts of New England. It is the principal city of the Pittsfield, Massachusetts Metropolitan Statistical Area which encompasses all of Berkshire County.
